there is nothing better than comfort inn portland. breakfast was free and the team was courteous. the hotel itself was in a great area.
Good and comfortable hotel for the price.
The internet connection is very slow and there is no wireless connection in the room so you have to use a cable. The breakfast that is included has only a selection of medium quality carbohydrates. Unless you have a car to drive 10-15 minutes to downtown Portland there is very little you can do in the area.
Placed conveniently between city center and airport. Swimming pool. Nice staff. We got up early and were allowed to have breakfast good 40 min before the official start. A large and clean room.
Location, among car repair shops, next to highway, may not be convenient for somebody. It is not a walking district. We did not care.
Location... Close to PDX Airport and I84
The pool and hot tub were great! Nice room and breakfast. And right on light rail, made getting downtown easy.
Bigger towels at the pool would be nice.
Good price, clean, friendly staff, pretty good breakfast.
Clean and service was very nice and helpful
My room window was facing the freeway. I didn't get much sleep, but I understand that isn't any ones fault. I would next time ask for a room on the other side. Thanks
My husband had eye surgery earlier in the day and we asked if we could check in early. They were accommodating to us. The room was very restful and well appointed.
Nice, updated rooms. Spacious & very comgortable
The neighbourhood was a little sketchy .. Would not recommend going out for a walk at night.
Noisy room next to freeway and were told moving not possible as we booked thru Booked.net. Adequate breakfast. Newly remodeled and very comfy. Nice staff
Room not overlooking the freeway. Area very multicultural. Upside is fun food possibilities.
Hotel was centrally located and close to public transportation, but not a great part of town.
Only suggestions - have warmer CFL bulbs, especially next to beds, and maybe a variety of food at breakfast.
A good location with parking; friendly staff and good accomodations
Breakfast could have been better with better variety and quality.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly. The hotel was perfectly located for what we needed.
The room next to us was very loud and annoying. This had nothing to do with the hotel itself just had to do with the unfortunate guest neighbor.
The location worked out very well for us. The room was clean and the staff friendly. This was one of the better beds we had to sleep on during our travels.
The breakfast room was not large enough to accomodate the guests. We went to breakfast at various times and were only able to get a table 1 out of 5 mornings. It would be nice to have a microwave in the breakfast area as one morning the eggs/sausage were cold. I would have happily microwaved them, but without this option, I threw them away.
Tricia at the front desk was terrific!! She helped us with a map of the mass transit system and was overall very helpful. The hotel was a very short walk to the train which was so helpful as we didn't have to drive into Portland and also saved money on parking. The breakfast was fine. The room was very clean and much quieter than I expected given the proximity to the freeway. The price was ok.
The layout of the room had the sink in the main room which didn't allow enough privacy for my teenage daughter and me. Also, the fan in the toilet/bathroom was VERY noisy and annoying and the room door stuck badly so had to be jerked open which was noisy and might be difficult for a child. The cord to the TV had been pulled out by housekeeping and I didn't realize that and had to call the front desk to get it figured out. The layout of the breakfast room was awkward and you had to traverse the room for hot water and to get to the garbage cans--a simple redo would make it much more efficient. The stairs needed to be vacuumed. Also, we were there two days and would have been fine with the same sheets but weren't given that option.
